Quality insepction of Metal badge hats requires a comprehensive Process

2026-06-22 15:43
Quality inspection of metal badge hats requires a comprehensive process, combining the hat itself and the metal badge as the two core components, and verifying them from the perspectives of appearance, performance, and security. Specific standards are as follows:

I. Metal Badge-Specific Quality Inspection
Appearance Defect Grading: Referring to the badge defect grading standards, Grade A products are allowed only 0-2 iron filings/lint, no more than 1 bubble, and no paint scratches, metal scratches, or oxidation/rust. Grade D products have more than 5 bubbles, scratches longer than 2mm, and oxidation, and are directly judged as unqualified. Genuine metal badges have clear stamping, smooth edges, a bright and thick metallic texture, and no thin, soft, or deformed issues.

Material Performance Testing: The surface hardness of the metal badge is not less than 8.0HB, the thickness is not less than 1.0mm, and the surface is free of burrs, pits, cracks, and other defects to avoid scratching the wearer's skin.

Hazardous Substance Control: The lead content of the metal badge must not exceed 100ppm, and the total amount of the six specific phthalates must not exceed 0.1%, avoiding health risks caused by excessive heavy metals.

II. Hat Body and Assembly Inspection
Physical Safety Test: The metal badge, as a detachable component of the hat, must pass a tensile test. It must not detach under normal use and reasonable misuse to prevent choking hazards from accidental ingestion.

Assembly Process Verification: Check that the metal badge is installed correctly, without any tilting or looseness. Ensure the overall stitching of the hat is even, with no exposed sharp threads. The edges should be neatly finished, without any sharp edges or points.

Appearance and Labeling Inspection: Visually verify that the overall color of the hat matches the standard sample, with no obvious color difference. Product labels and production information should be complete and clear, without any misprints or omissions.

III. Defect Classification and Judgment
If the metal badge has a small amount of fine fluff, or there is a slight color difference in some areas of the hat, it does not affect use or safety. However, if the metal badge is oxidized or rusted, the tensile strength of the component is substandard, or there are sharp edges, the hat is directly deemed unqualified.
